There is magic in the details and this is a hands-on experience where you’ll be challenged and taught how to go big and bold with your pieces.
In this three day intensive workshop we will be making sculptures with modified coils. Friday from 6:00-8:00pm, Saturday from 9:00-4:00 and Sunday from 10:00-3:00. Sculptures may be made as one piece, or in sections. Ideas can include making animals, people, urns, planters, or abstracts. Be prepared with sketches and ideas of what you’d like to create.
The workshop will include a three page handout of the topics covered.
Topics discussed will include:
Clays & Tools
Making attachments
Dealing with uneven thicknesses
Surface decoration techniques
Glazing techniques
Firing schedules
Fixing cracks/breakages
Caring for your sculpture
Cancellations 15 days or more prior to the start of the class will receive a full refund minus a 5% processing fee. Cancellations up to 7 days prior will receive 50% back.
Cancellations made the week of the class will not be refunded.
